As a culminating activity for this unit, the children had the opportunity to plan their own class party! While thinking of a theme for the party, we reminded the children that it had to be something that both the girls and the boys will like. Here are a few of their suggested themes: HANUKKAH PARTY, PRINCESS AND SUPERHERO PARTY, PLANES PARTY, NIGHT OF THE MUSEUM PARTY, FLOWER PARTY, RACING CAR PARTY, RESTAURANT PARTY AND HALLOWEEN PARTY. Based on the children's response and crossing off the ones that didn't cater to both girls and boys, the choices were narrowed down to Restaurant party, Halloween party and Princess and Superhero Party. The children then voted on their preferred theme and the Princess and Superhero party theme won!
The children made decorations for the party...
