As part of their service learning, few grade one students came to visit us this week to teach us how to transplant mint. They also let us keep the planter so our children could take care of the mint in our classroom.
Our Grade 5 student leaders have been learning about communities and as their service learning to our school community, they have been coming to the younger classes to do simple arts and crafts activities. This was another great opportunity for our children to develop an awareness that they are part of a bigger school community. They definitely enjoyed painting and making pumpkin faces.
