Central Idea: By taking care of living things we learn to respect the world around us.
Lines of inquiry:
- Living things and non-living things (Form and Function)
-Taking care of living things (Responsibility)
Last week, Bella (Aria's dog) and Ramiro (Tara's dog) visited us in class. The children loved having them visit our class and were thinkers when a few of them asked the following questions:
"Is your dog a boy a or a girl?"
"Does he take a bath?"
"Do you have to brush his hair?"
After the visits, the children all agreed that both Bella and Ramiro are living things because they eat, move, breathe, and have to go to the potty.
